About the role#
This is a 12-month co-op or PEY placement beginning in January 2027. You will gain experience in a global medical device organization by supporting quality systems processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional projects. This role is designed for an early-career professional who is organized, curious, and eager to learn new concepts and systems.
What you'll do#
- Support Quality Systems activities including CAPA and NCEPs.
- Assist owners with project coordination, such as activity planning, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and execution.
- Identify and support opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of quality processes.
- Compile, analyze, and present quality data, metrics, and trends to leadership and various stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain reports and visualizations to communicate performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on daily tasks and projects.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Use digital tools and automation to improve reporting and workflows.
- Maintain compliance with the company Quality Policy and documented procedures.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or Quality Assurance.
- Ability to solve problems, learn new tools, and apply knowledge to assignments.
- Experience organizing, interpreting, or presenting data.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Initiative to follow through on assignments and work with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Preferred: Postgraduate certificate or degree in quality assurance, quality engineering, or project management.
- Preferred: Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, Six Sigma, or Python.
- Preferred: Academic or work experience in quality assurance or process improvement.
Location & details#
- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (12-month placement).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (requires at least three days per week in the office).
- Employment: Full-time, paid position.
