About the role#
This is a 12-month placement beginning in January 2027. You will join the team to help develop and optimize manufacturing processes. The role involves providing design and manufacturability input during concept and commercialization phases. You will work alongside R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to deliver compliant process solutions.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of manufacturing processes and equipment, including drafting 3D prototypes in SolidWorks.
- Assist with product development projects through prototype builds, risk assessments, and validation activities.
- Develop and execute validation and test plans for device characterization.
- Prepare technical drawings, write work instructions, and train staff on new equipment.
- Design test methods to ensure devices meet patient needs.
- Maintain compliance with the Quality Policy to ensure patient safety and product quality.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an Engineering degree or a recent Bachelor's graduate in Engineering, with Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred.
- A basic understanding of engineering principles.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including exposure to statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with SolidWorks and Minitab is preferred.
- A hands-on, self-starting approach with the ability to work both independently and in a team.

- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office.
- Term: Winter 2027 start.
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid position.
