About the role#
This Engineering Co-Op position focuses on the research of processing parameter effects on the metallurgy of nickel-titanium (Nitinol) alloys. You will support the Engineering department with research and development, specifically regarding metallurgical analysis and metrology. This is a paid, full-time role based on-site in Dassel, Minnesota. The term runs from May 2027 through December 2027.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support for part manufacturability.
- Assist with the implementation of process and design improvements.
- Partner with business segments including sales, marketing, customer service, quality, and finance.
- Support and comply with company Quality Systems and medical device requirements.
- Participate in company meetings and maintain an organized work area.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program for Manufacturing, Mechanical, Materials Science, or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring devices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
