About the role#
The Human Resources Intern will provide compliance and administrative support to the HR team and staff at the Bellwood facility. This part-time position focuses on assisting HR Generalists with various projects, maintaining documentation, and ensuring high levels of customer service for internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Provide quality HR compliance and administrative support to the HR team.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and document retention requirements.
- Prepare and proofread documents using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Assist with the payroll and SUB pay processes.
- Manage employee requests through responsiveness, follow-up, and escalation.
- Organize personnel files and maintain office supplies.
- Collaborate with team members on joint projects and share information to ensure team alignment.
What you'll need#
- High School Degree.
- Currently a college sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
