About the role#
The Human Resources Intern will provide compliance and administrative support to the HR team and staff at the Bellwood facility. This part-time position focuses on assisting HR Generalists with various projects, maintaining documentation, and ensuring high levels of customer service for internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Provide HR compliance and administrative support, including organizing personnel files and managing document retention.
- Develop a working knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and information databases.
- Prepare and proofread Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents, including audits and employee communications.
- Assist with the payroll and SUB pay process.
- Handle employee requests through timely responses, follow-up, and appropriate escalation.
- Maintain office supplies and assist with general administrative tasks.
What you'll need#
- High School Degree.
- Current enrollment as a college sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
