    About the role#

    BorgWarner is seeking an HR Shared Services Intern to join the team at the Propulsion Technical Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. This is a year-round, on-site internship designed for a student who can balance academic commitments with professional responsibilities. You will report to the HR Shared Services Manager and contribute to the transformation of HR processes while supporting student recruitment and internal programs.

    What you'll do#

    • Support student recruitment and university relations, including campus events, interview scheduling, and onboarding for interns and co-ops.
    • Assist in planning and executing student program initiatives and engagement activities.
    • Coordinate with internal partners, including IT, Facilities, and hiring managers, to ensure a smooth hiring experience.
    • Provide first-level support to employees and students while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach.
    • Identify opportunities to improve HR Shared Services processes by simplifying workflows and reducing manual effort.
    • Assist with HR reporting, data entry, and maintenance of personnel records.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university.
    • Preferred majors include Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • A detail-oriented, highly organized approach to work.
    • A customer-service mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    Location & details#

    • This position is based on-site in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
    • You must be available to work 20-30 hours per week during the school year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer.
    • On-site attendance is required at least three days per week.
    • This is a paid internship.
