About the role#
BorgWarner is looking for a Jr. System Bench Architect Intern to join our PowerDrive Systems team. This is a year-round, part-time internship based on-site at our Kokomo Technical Center. You will work with systems, hardware, and software teams to ensure our test benches meet all project requirements.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the design, procurement, installation, and deployment of test bench equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with systems development, hardware, and software teams throughout the product development process for electrification products.
- Continue the development of RESolver simulator and buffer box prototypes.
- Develop tools in Python and LabVIEW to support bench infrastructure.
- Provide support for bench tools including Vector, Lauterbach, ETAS, BenchStudio, and Canfigure.
- Manage bench hardware and tools asset inventory control.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, or recent graduation.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Experience with PCB layout, basic soldering, and circuit board modification.
- Ability to debug test systems at the board and interconnect level.
- Experience with IT setup and computer upgrades.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience with NI-Veristand, NI-LabVIEW, and NI FPGA programming.
