About the role#
This year-round internship provides an opportunity to learn, analyze, and report on automotive and industrial markets. Reporting to the Market Research Supervisor, you will gain hands-on experience with regional and global market analysis, customer and competitive intelligence, and database maintenance.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and collect market intelligence relevant to the business.
- Track customer and competitor activity for important communications.
- Communicate regional and global market movements to the Global Market Research team.
- Locate, interpret, and present data from external sources.
- Support research leads with specific projects, reports, and tasks for various business units.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of one to two years of college experience in Business, Marketing, or Engineering fields (including Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering).
- Excellent communication skills and a strong interest in the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI is preferred.
- Technical or newsletter/blog-style writing experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan.
- Work Modality: On-site at our Auburn Hills campus at least three days per week.
- Status: Full-time, paid position.
- Eligibility: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
