About the role#
SWD Inc. is hiring an HR & Recruiting Intern for the Fall 2026 semester at our Addison, Illinois facility. This is a paid, on-site position designed for students or recent graduates in Human Resources or Business Administration. You will work directly with the HR Manager to gain experience in a manufacturing environment. The role requires 25 to 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling to fit your academic commitments.
What you'll do#
- Support full-cycle recruiting by sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, conducting phone screens, and scheduling interviews.
- Handle background checks and new hire onboarding processes.
- Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Answer HR-related questions from employees and applicants in both English and Spanish.
- Create and distribute internal employee communications.
- Assist with employee engagement, wellness, and company events.
- Provide administrative support for HR process improvements and other assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Comfort interacting with employees and candidates in a professional manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
