About the role#
PHINIA is seeking a motivated HR Intern to join our team at our World Headquarters. This full-time, paid internship offers hands-on experience in human resources within the motor vehicle manufacturing industry. This is an on-site position based in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for students, including requisition creation, job postings, resume reviews, phone screenings, interview coordination, and offer generation for all US locations.
- Manage new hire documentation, including I-9 completion and folder maintenance, to ensure compliance.
- Maintain and update new hire orientation slides with local information.
- Support process documentation for recruitment, onboarding, and engagement initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Assist with the US student program, including event planning and the coordination of student assignments.
- Support the World Headquarters engagement committee and assist with the implementation of AI to improve HR process efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and a bias to action.
- 6+ months of previous recruitment experience is preferred.
