About the role#
As a Continuous Improvement Intern at our Arden facility, you will support the implementation of the Arden Production System. You will work on lean and continuous improvement projects to help our manufacturing processes. This is a part-time, paid internship role.
What you'll do#
- Support the Arden Plant Digitization Project by assisting with charters, resource planning, budgets, and communication plans.
- Lead the improvement, execution, and sustainability of our time-study program.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, IT, and Finance.
- Perform tasks such as 5S+ activities, standard work development, KPI analysis, and problem solving.
- Run small projects by defining objectives, building project plans, and executing via the PDCA cycle.
- Adhere to all Quality policies, HR handbook procedures, and Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to independently coordinate and conduct meetings.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams is preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and automotive supplier market functions is a plus.
