About the role#
BorgWarner is looking for a Materials Intern to join our team in Arden, North Carolina. This is a rolling, full-time, paid internship. You will work on-site, gaining hands-on experience with inventory optimization and supply chain collaboration. You will work alongside engineering, operations, and logistics teams to manage the full program lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Analyze inventory data to find excess and obsolete inventory risks.
- Create and process change cases to obsolete finished goods and materials.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Scheduling, and Logistics to align production quantities.
- Develop part-specific disposition plans, including options for return, rework, or usage.
- Maintain tracking tools and dashboards for inventory and lifecycle activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Logistics.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
