About the role#
The Production Planning Intern supports daily scheduling, material flow, and supply chain operations at our Arden manufacturing facility. This role provides hands-on experience in a production environment by working alongside our production, procurement, logistics, and engineering teams to improve planning efficiency and data accuracy.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily and weekly production scheduling and planning activities.
- Support material planning through demand versus supply analysis.
- Maintain and improve planning data accuracy, including bills of materials, routings, and lead times.
- Analyze inventory levels to identify shortages and excess material.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with production, purchasing, and logistics teams.
- Support supplier performance tracking and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document processes and create standard work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Experience with MRP systems is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship located in Arden, North Carolina.
- This position is a rolling term.
