About the role#
Bohler is looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Atlanta office for the Spring 2027 term. You will work on real-world site design projects and gain insight into the daily operations of a civil engineering firm. This role covers the complete land development process from initial concept to construction. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers to support the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
What you'll do#
- Learn the stages of the land development and site design process.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design concept, grading, stormwater management, utility system, and soil erosion plans.
- Collaborate with project teams to coordinate and drive projects forward.
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Visit project sites to observe field conditions and the engineering process in action.
- Participate in team meetings to contribute ideas to design and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, though training is provided if you are not yet proficient.
- Curiosity and motivation to learn.
