About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Boca Raton, Florida. This internship provides exposure to the daily operations of a civil engineering and site design firm. You will work on land development projects from the initial concept through the construction phase, gaining experience with commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
What you'll do#
- Learn the stages of the land development and site design process.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create concept, grading, stormwater management, utility, and soil erosion plans.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to move projects forward.
- Research local zoning ordinances and coordinate with jurisdictions.
- Visit project sites to observe field conditions and the engineering process.
- Participate in team meetings to contribute ideas and design improvements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, though training is provided.
- A strong curiosity and motivation to learn.
