About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term in our Frisco, Texas office. You will work on real-world site design projects and gain insight into the daily operations of a civil engineering firm. This role covers the complete site development process from initial concept to construction.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on experience in site design and land development.
- Support the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to assist with concept, grading, stormwater, utility, and erosion control plans.
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Visit sites to observe field conditions and see the engineering process in action.
- Participate in team meetings and share your ideas.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude and the ability to work independently or with a team.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Curiosity and a motivation to learn.
