About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for our Chalfont, Pennsylvania office for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will gain experience in land development and site design. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers to support the design and permitting of various commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
What you'll do#
- Learn the stages of the land development and site design process from concept to construction.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create concept, grading, stormwater management, utility, and erosion control plans.
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Visit project sites to observe field conditions and the construction process.
- Collaborate with the team to drive projects forward and contribute to design improvements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Biology.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, though training is provided if you are not yet proficient.
- A strong curiosity and motivation to learn.
