About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role offers exposure to the full land development and site design process, from initial concept to construction. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers on commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use projects.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience in the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering firm.
- Learn the stages of land development and site design.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create concept, grading, stormwater, utility, and erosion control plans.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate and drive projects.
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Visit project sites to observe field conditions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biomedical, or Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Curiosity and a motivation to learn.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
