About the role#
As a Facilities Engineering Intern, you will join the Boeing Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) team. This group is responsible for maintaining buildings and infrastructure, executing construction projects, and developing engineering designs that meet regulatory and customer requirements. You will work directly with mentors to solve real-world problems and contribute to the efficient operation of facilities across various business units.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with a mentor in your field of study.
- Tour manufacturing and research facilities to experience products firsthand.
- Interact with company leaders to discuss strategy and the future of the industry.
- Build a professional network through social events and engaging activities.
- Gain the skills and knowledge necessary to become a future leader in aerospace.
- Support infrastructure planning, capital improvement projects, and maintenance operations.
- Analyze and design facilities projects while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2027.
- Major in a core engineering discipline, specifically Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering.
- Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Strong academic performance, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills.
- Status as a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15.
