About the role#
This position supports the Culinary Arts faculty and lab supervisors with the daily maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation of the Culinary Arts Lab. You will assist with food preparation and production, with occasional opportunities to help during dining events.
What you'll do#
- Complete daily checklists issued by the Chef Instructor.
- Scale, prepare, and occasionally cook food items.
- Clean and sanitize the lab, including floors and equipment.
- Manage food in dry storage and refrigerators.
- Put away deliveries and organize equipment.
What you'll need#
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to stand and work physically for long periods of time.
- An interview with the Chef Instructor is required.
- Black closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes are required.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Greenville, South Carolina.
- This is a part-time, on-site position with rolling start dates.
- Shifts are typically 3 to 5 hours long, available Monday through Friday from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
- Additional shift opportunities for events may be available.
