About the role#
As a Summer EDUcamp Counselor, you act as an ambassador for Bob Jones University. You will assist faculty with various camps, such as Premed, Theatre, Sports Leadership, and Global Fluency. You help campers have a safe and Christ-honoring experience while they explore the campus and learn about our academic programs.
What you'll do#
- Live in residence halls with campers to provide supervision and support.
- Help campers navigate the campus and ensure they arrive at activities on time.
- Lead evening devotions, present challenges, and facilitate Scripture discussions.
- Guide prayer groups and assist campers with their spiritual needs.
- Share your salvation testimony during evening services.
- Assist camp faculty with daily needs and tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the camp experience.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be a student currently enrolled at Bob Jones University with at least one year of study completed.
- A consistent, Christ-honoring testimony.
- A teachable spirit and the ability to adapt to changing needs.
- Experience or ability to counsel young people.
- A working knowledge of BJU academic programs and opportunities.
- A valid driver license and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred but not required.

- This is a part-time, paid position for BJU students only.
