About the role#
The IT Support Center is looking for current Bob Jones University students to provide technical help to faculty, staff, and fellow students. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Greenville, South Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Help walk-in customers resolve their technology problems.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist callers with a specific list of technical issues.
- Provide tier-one support for technology issues in the classroom.
- Troubleshoot new problems and recall solutions for recurring issues.
- Manage the loaning and return of equipment.
- Assist users with data transfers and hard drive backups.
- Take on other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Bob Jones University.
- Experience with Windows 11 and mobile platforms like iOS and Android.
- Familiarity with MacOS is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- The ability to walk customers through solutions over the phone.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new technology challenges.
