About the role#
This is a part-time student position within the School of Fine Arts and Communication. You will serve as a host to maintain the security and order of the Fine Arts building during evening and weekend hours. This role requires a responsible student who can monitor activity and assist guests as needed.
What you'll do#
- Monitor the first, second, and third floors of the Fine Arts building during evening hours and Saturdays.
- Walk the floors every 15 minutes to check activity in studios and classrooms.
- Keep track of studio and classroom sign-in books.
- Stay aware of everyone currently on your assigned floor.
- Address policy infractions and resolve building issues as they arise.
- Answer questions from visitors and assist guests during Fine Arts events.
- Help hang signs and monitor the snack room during events like the High School Festival and AACS.
- Ensure the building is clear at the end of the evening.
- Monitor practice studios in Gaston or Johnson buildings when assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Bob Jones University.
- Familiarity with the Fine Arts department and building layout.
- Ability to confront individuals graciously when necessary.
- Good people skills and an observant nature.
- A strong sense of responsibility and a desire to serve others.

- Location: Greenville, South Carolina.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Rolling term, covering Monday through Friday evenings and Saturdays.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
