About the role#
This is a part-time software developer position for students currently enrolled at Bob Jones University or Bob Jones Academy. You will contribute to software solutions for various academic and non-academic systems used by the university and BJU Press.
What you'll do#
- Design, code, and test application systems.
- Develop and support various software applications.
- Write program specifications based on business requirements.
- Convert designs and specifications into functional code.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Bob Jones University or Bob Jones Academy.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented software technology.
- Working knowledge of database structures and relationships.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new tasks.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to document work in a logical and organized manner.
- Ability to work well with others and understand the goals of the university.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Greenville, South Carolina.
- Work hours are between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for your class schedule.
- You are expected to work at least three sessions of two or more hours each week.
- Summer employment requires 40 hours per week.
- Housing is available for Bob Jones University students if needed.
