About the role#
This is a 12-month full-time internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will join the BMO team to support project lifecycles, analyze business data, and contribute to technology operations. This role requires you to work on-site in Toronto.
What you'll do#
- Investigate and identify strategies to optimize business operations and services.
- Define business requirements to inform technology builds and system operations.
- Source and analyze data to evaluate the impact of projects on business results.
- Review and document business processes while collaborating with stakeholders.
- Assess the efficiency and performance of technology systems, including software and hardware.
- Identify malfunctions, analyze system workflows, and troubleshoot issues.
- Develop project documents for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Build test cases to validate business requirements and end-user testing results.
- Apply the BMO Risk Management Framework to ensure all activities align with policies and regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program with the intent to return to studies.
- Academic background in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Foundational proficiency in Agile delivery, data analysis, and systems thinking.
- Knowledge of business architecture frameworks and application functional design.
- Skills in stakeholder management, functional analysis, and process optimization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and work independently.
- A strong desire to learn and apply specialized knowledge gained through education.
