About the role#
This Credit Analyst Internship offers an opportunity to support lending decisions within Commercial Banking. You will work on an assigned portfolio of clients, performing financial analysis and risk assessments to help the team make informed decisions. This is a full-time, paid position based in Phoenix, Arizona, running from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Analyze credit information to support lending decisions for new and existing Commercial banking loans.
- Perform financial analysis and calculations, providing recommendations to your manager.
- Prepare detailed credit summaries to assess creditworthiness.
- Monitor portfolio performance for assigned clients and take corrective action when necessary.
- Identify revenue and cross-selling opportunities to support portfolio growth.
- Structure new, renewal, and extension loans while ensuring compliance with bank and risk policies.
- Maintain accurate data entry and use analysis tools to evaluate client returns.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Foundational proficiency in financial analysis, loan structuring, and data analysis tools.
- Relevant experience in credit, lending instruments, or financial operations within a corporate or banking environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to collaborate with business partners and Relationship Managers.
