About the role#
As a Personal Banking Associate, you will serve as a primary point of contact for BMO customers. This internship role focuses on delivering financial advice, supporting daily branch operations, and helping customers navigate our banking solutions. You will work on-site in Magog, Quebec, for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Welcome customers in the branch and guide them through digital or self-serve banking options.
- Conduct conversations to understand customer needs regarding credit cards and personal banking.
- Provide advice on financial solutions and identify opportunities to refer customers to specialized partners.
- Process customer transactions and support branch operations, including inventory management and filing.
- Integrate marketing promotions into client interactions to provide strategic advice.
- Follow risk and compliance policies to protect customer assets and report suspicious activity.
- Collaborate with the branch team to meet business objectives and improve the customer experience.
What you'll need#
- Fluency in both French and English.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience or a related certification.
- Current registration to sell investment products, or progress toward this requirement.
- Experience in consultative sales or customer service roles.
- Proficiency with tablets, smartphones, social media, and online tools.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems and work effectively within a team.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
