About the role#
Join our team as a Mechanical Engineer Intern focusing on piping systems. You will support projects within our LNG or APG solutions. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings.
- Handle pressure boundary design and structural analysis of piping systems.
- Perform tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs.
- Prepare basic calculations and assist in basic equipment selection.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and schedule project deliverables.
- Collect, organize, and evaluate data.
- Analyze systems using computer modeling.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET accredited university in a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program.
- Preferred coursework includes Mechanics of Materials (fatigue, creep, fracture mechanics), Statics, and Machine Design.
- Strong written and oral communication, mathematical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records searches.

- This position is based on-site at our offices in Overland Park, Kansas; Ann Arbor, Michigan; or Cary, North Carolina.
- This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
