About the role#
Brindley Engineering Corporation is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Intern to support field evaluations and infrastructure design. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Lisle, Illinois. You will work within our mechanical team to assist in the analysis and rehabilitation of industrial equipment and piping systems.
What you'll do#
- Support field evaluations of in-service piping systems.
- Assist in the development of calculations, repair drawings, and technical specifications.
- Prepare scope of work packages and assist in writing reports.
- Learn work processes and analytical modeling in heavy industrial environments.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Eligibility to take the E.I.T. exam within one year of your start date is preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical mobility requirements, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to adhere to client-specific requirements, including random drug testing and facial hair safety policies.
