About the role#
As a Consulting Intern for the Transactions team, you will contribute to client engagements by gathering data and preparing analysis. You will work under the guidance of team leaders on multiple projects, including financing and due diligence for power technologies. This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform research, data analysis, and report-writing for various projects.
- Conduct economic and financial studies for utilities, developers, and independent power producers.
- Support power supply planning and Integrated Resource Planning (IRP).
- Assist with feasibility studies for domestic and international power generation projects.
- Provide support for deregulation, restructuring, and competitive positioning services.
- Work on electric market price forecasting and asset valuation.
- Assist with project development, including structuring, reviewing, and negotiating project agreements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, or an engineering discipline (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Industrial).
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and oral communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong computer proficiency.
- A self-starter mindset with the initiative to work independently.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site at one of the following locations: Overland Park, KS; Charlotte, NC; Greenwood, IN; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ; or Tampa, FL.
- This is a full-time position for the Summer 2027 term.
