About the role#
As a Supply Chain Intern at Black & Veatch, you will gain hands-on experience in procurement processes by supporting our team in Overland Park. You will work with established systems and procedures to help manage supplier relationships and purchasing documentation. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Perform data entry for established systems and procedures.
- Implement company and department policies.
- Assist with the maintenance of the supplier list.
- Prepare, issue, and receive requests for quotation.
- Evaluate quotations from suppliers.
- Review and process purchasing documents.
- Prepare and maintain purchase order records.
- Learn to use procurement department software.
- Process supplier invoice approvals and maintain related records.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial), or Construction Management.
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain or Procurement is preferred.

- This is a full-time role with a rolling term.
