About the role#
Bird Construction is seeking a Student Digital Construction Coordinator for a 4 or 8 month co-op position starting in September 2026. This role provides an opportunity to manage specific areas of project responsibility while receiving guidance from a supervisor and technical mentor. You will work on-site in Regina, Saskatchewan, to support digital construction deployment and project coordination.
What you'll do#
- Act as the Model Administrator for assigned projects.
- Maintain and facilitate models, including structure, interior and exterior architectural elements, and MEP systems.
- Assist in training project staff and subcontractors on digital construction software and workflows.
- Develop and implement schedule visualization workflows and prepare 4D simulations.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify constructability issues and facilitate site logistics plans in a model environment.
- Coordinate 3D laser scans and point cloud models.
- Facilitate dialogue between project teams, consultants, and designers, including collecting and coordinating consultant BIM models.
- Assist in the administration of the BIM Execution Plan and record coordination sign-offs.
- Compile contract VDC close-out documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent program.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must have at least one semester of education remaining after the internship.
- Experience with Revit and Navisworks.
- Ability to lead and operate in a frequently changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revizto, and Fuzor is considered an asset.
- Ability to forge and maintain positive professional relationships.
- Submission of a current transcript is required with your application.
