About the role#
The Tax Intern, Transfer Pricing works with a team of consulting economists to support multi-national companies in pricing transactions between entities within their corporate groups. This role involves examining economic conditions and industry trends to help clients comply with foreign and domestic tax regulations. You will assist in substantiating intercompany prices and consulting with clients on their financial structures.
What you'll do#
- Conduct client interviews to gather information regarding corporate structure, functional responsibilities, risk distribution, and value drivers.
- Analyze industry and financial data to benchmark or document appropriate intercompany pricing policies.
- Perform financial analysis, such as evaluating market penetration scenarios or calculating the value of intangible property.
- Prepare project reports that detail the firm's approach, research, quantitative analysis, and final results.
- Write industry overviews, functional analyses, and technical memos to support transfer pricing documentation.
- Prepare and participate in presentations to convey analysis results and pitch service capabilities to potential clients.
- Proofread and edit reports to ensure accuracy before client delivery.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting, Economics, or a relevant field.
- Exceptional research and writing skills, with the ability to produce initial drafts of project deliverables.
- Proficiency in detailed reading, proofing, and editing highly technical and descriptive material.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Basic understanding of transfer pricing and a strong interest in the industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
