About the role#
This Summer 2028 internship offers an introduction to international tax services. You will work with experienced team members to support clients with cross-border tax matters. The role involves research, analysis, and preparation of tax documentation while you gain exposure to international tax law and compliance processes.
What you'll do#
- Consult with clients on cross-border tax matters and international tax issues.
- Perform research and analysis to provide international tax advice.
- Use software applications to assist clients with tax reporting obligations for international operations.
- Develop and implement critical thinking to provide tax advice.
- Prepare Written Tax Advice regarding international and cross-border transactions.
- Prepare international tax compliance forms and US international informational reporting.
- Coordinate with non-US colleagues regarding international tax rules.
- Monitor tax law and client factual developments.
- Apply ASC 740-10 principles to international tax issues.
- Develop work plans for assigned clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Master’s program in Accounting, Taxation, or a Master of Laws (LLM) degree program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and follow instructions as directed.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
- A J.D. or progress toward a CPA is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is preferred.
- Experience using research tools such as RIA, BNA, Lexis Nexis, or Westlaw is preferred.
