About the role#
As an Audit IT Assurance Intern, you will join our engagement teams to deliver IT audit services. You will work directly with Partners, Managers, and Senior Executives to support financial statement audits through the assessment of information systems controls. This role involves gaining a deep understanding of client operations and applying your technical knowledge to identify security and risk management issues.
What you'll do#
- Test and assess information systems control review engagements.
- Apply knowledge of IT trends to identify process improvements.
- Interact with client management to meet deadlines and resolve problems.
- Maintain professional rapport with clients.
- Participate in recruiting and business development activities.
- Work to meet or exceed IT Assurance metrics.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field with a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA.
- Information Security experience or training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a complex team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Enthusiasm for learning through structured and self-directed training.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
- Desire to pursue professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CISM.
- Related work experience in public accounting or ITGC auditing is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, requiring at least three days of in-person attendance per week at a firm office or client site.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Travel: Ability to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessary.
