About the role#
As a Tax Intern, you will work within our Core Tax Services team. You will support our clients by preparing tax returns and extensions while learning from experienced tax professionals. This role offers a hands-on look at our firm practices and helps you build professional relationships early in your career.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimates.
- Organize files to ensure accuracy and minimize rework.
- Assist with responses to IRS notices and projections for year-end filings.
- Apply firm policies regarding ASC 740, including FAS 109 and FIN 48.
- Use online research tools to monitor tax law developments.
- Communicate relevant tax updates to client service teams.
- Ensure client compliance with authorities and internal quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a relevant field.
- Active pursuit of credits required for CPA licensure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
