About the role#
As an Audit IT Assurance Intern, you will join our engagement teams to deliver IT audit services. You will work directly with Partners, Managers, and Senior Executives to assess information systems controls for financial statement audits. This role is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027.
What you'll do#
- Test and assess information systems controls in support of financial statement audits.
- Use your knowledge of IT trends and systems to identify security and risk management issues.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients to manage expectations and meet deadlines.
- Gain an understanding of client operations, business objectives, and processes.
- Participate in recruiting and business development activities as needed.
- Meet or exceed established IT Assurance metrics.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field with a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA.
- Information Security experience or training is required.
- Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, manage multiple priorities, and handle projects simultaneously.
- Desire to pursue professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CISM.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
- Ability to travel on short notice and work additional hours when necessary.

- Location: Southfield, Michigan.
- Modality: Hybrid, with at least three days per week in-person at a company office or client site.
