About the role#
As a Tax Intern in Core Tax Services, you will work with experienced professionals to support our client base. This role provides hands-on experience in tax preparation and firm practices while helping you build professional relationships for your career.
What you'll do#
- Ensure clients comply with tax authorities while minimizing their tax and reporting burdens.
- Work with tax software to complete simple tax returns for review.
- Use online research tools to gather tax information.
- Assist with components of income tax provisions.
- Develop and recommend methods to maximize client benefits.
- Perform quarterly estimates and prepare extensions.
- Assist with responses to Internal Revenue Service notices.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a relevant field.
- Preference for those pursuing a Masters degree in Accounting.
- Active pursuit of school credits to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
