About the role#
The Tax Intern, Core Tax Services, will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to support our client base. This role offers a hands-on perspective on firm practices and provides an opportunity to build professional relationships while utilizing your educational background and organizational skills.
What you'll do#
- Ensure client compliance with applicable authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens.
- Work with tax software to complete simple tax returns and prepare quarterly estimates and extensions.
- Assist with components of income tax provisions and respond to Internal Revenue Service notices.
- Operate online research tools to gather tax information and monitor tax law developments.
- Assist in developing and implementing methods to maximize client benefits.
- Organize files and documentation to ensure efficient review processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a relevant field.
- Preference for candidates pursuing a Masters degree in Accounting or a relevant field.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
