Tax Intern, Core Tax Services - Summer 2027

About the role#

The Tax Intern, Core Tax Services will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to support the firm's client base. This summer internship provides hands-on experience with tax practices and the opportunity to build professional relationships within the accounting industry.

What you'll do#

• Ensure client compliance with applicable authorities while working to minimize tax and reporting burdens.
• Utilize tax software applications to prepare simple tax returns, quarterly estimates, and extensions.
• Operate online research tools to gather pertinent tax information and monitor tax law developments.
• Assist with components of income tax provisions and respond to notices from the Internal Revenue Service.
• Help develop and implement methods to maximize client benefits.
• Organize files and documentation to ensure efficient review processes.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting or a relevant field (Master's degree pursuit preferred).
• Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and follow professional instructions.
