About the role#
BDO USA is hiring a Tax Intern for our Core Tax Services team in Nashville. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site under the supervision of experienced tax professionals to support our client base. This role offers a practical look at firm practices and provides an opportunity to build professional relationships.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and extensions.
- Use tax software to complete simple returns for review.
- Perform quarterly estimates.
- Assist with responses to notices from the Internal Revenue Service.
- Help with components of income tax provisions.
- Organize files to ensure data is collected for filing requirements.
- Operate online research tools to gather tax information.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a related field.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
