About the role#
As a Tax Intern in Core Tax Services, you will work with experienced professionals to support our client base. This role offers hands-on experience with tax practices and helps you build professional relationships. You will assist with tax compliance, provisions, and research while working under the guidance of our team.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and extensions.
- Use tax software to complete simple tax returns for review.
- Perform quarterly estimates.
- Assist with components of income tax provisions.
- Use online research tools to gather tax information.
- Assist with responses to Internal Revenue Service notices.
- Help project year-end filings.
- Monitor tax law developments and communicate findings to the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a relevant field.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
