About the role#
SSC CPAs + Advisors is hiring paid Tax Interns for the Spring 2026 term. This role is designed for individuals with previous internship or accounting experience who want to take on increased responsibility. You will work directly with experienced professionals and leaders to contribute to client engagements and gain professional experience.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax return work papers and assist in the preparation of business and individual tax returns.
- Perform tax extension calculations and contribute to tax planning or audit-related tasks.
- Review client documents for accuracy and provide research support to project teams.
- Participate in internal and client meetings to learn the client service process.
- Support digital workflows by organizing, scanning, and managing documents.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of discretion and attention to detail.
- Initiative, a collaborative attitude, and problem-solving skills.
Location & details#
- Locations: Lawrence, Topeka, Overland Park, or Salina, Kansas; Norman or Tulsa, Oklahoma.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Minimum of 20 hours per week, scheduled around your coursework.
- Flexibility: Ability to work beyond standard Monday to Friday hours during peak times.
