About the role#
HLB Gross Collins offers internships for the Winter and Summer of 2028 at our Atlanta office. This role introduces you to the tax season at a mid-sized accounting firm. You will work alongside professionals to assist clients with business issues and gain experience across various industries. This is a paid position.
What you'll do#
- Prepare state and federal tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Identify and assess domestic and international tax matters.
- Research tax laws, rules, and regulations to support engagements.
- Review data entry to reconcile technical tax issues.
- Work on client engagements across different industries.
- Research business and industry trends for proposal development.
- Develop proficiency with tax software and collaborate with staff, managers, and partners.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program for Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum GPA of 3.4 in both major and overall coursework.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive approach to seeking feedback and completing tasks.
- Willingness to work additional hours when needed.
