About the role#
HLB Gross Collins is hiring a Tax Intern for the Winter 2028 term. This position is based in our Kennesaw, Georgia office. You will work alongside our team of professionals to gain experience in public accounting. You will assist with client engagements across various industries and receive mentorship from our staff, managers, and partners.
What you'll do#
- Prepare state and federal tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Identify and assess domestic and international tax matters.
- Research tax laws, rules, and regulations to apply them to specific engagements.
- Review data entry to reconcile technical tax issues.
- Research business and industry trends to assist in proposal development.
- Develop proficiency with tax software.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior standing in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum GPA of 3.4 in both your major and overall coursework.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work additional hours when needed.
