About the role#
BDO USA is hiring a Tax Intern for our Core Tax Services team in Spokane for Summer 2027. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support our client base through tax preparation and research tasks.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and extensions under the guidance of senior staff.
- Use tax software to complete simple returns for review.
- Assist with income tax provisions and ASC 740 tax accruals.
- Gather tax information using online research tools.
- Help prepare responses to notices from the Internal Revenue Service.
- Perform quarterly estimates and assist with year-end filing projections.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a related field.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions.
