About the role#
As an Assurance Intern, you will work within our audit practice to gain hands-on experience. You will collaborate with team members to solve problems and learn our firm's audit methodology. This role focuses on applying your academic background to real client engagements while building professional relationships.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a structured training program to learn Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
- Provide support to audit staff during active engagements.
- Communicate with clients, their customers, creditors, and banks regarding audit matters.
- Prepare and document work in working papers using firm-specific tools and templates.
- Complete one assigned research project related to accounting or audit and present your findings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.

- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in San Antonio, Texas.
- The term for this position is Winter 2028.
