About the role#
BDO Canada is hiring a Co-op student or Intern for the Risk Advisory Services team in Toronto. This is a full-time position starting in January 2027 for a term of 4 or 8 months. You will work on client engagements and gain exposure to internal audit and enterprise risk management.
What you'll do#
- Work on client engagements including internal audit, internal controls design, and enterprise risk management.
- Review, document, and evaluate business processes and internal controls for effectiveness.
- Develop client deliverables such as risk assessments, analyses, and reporting documentation.
- Collaborate with engagement teams to manage timelines and provide progress updates.
- Support service delivery innovation and apply project management skills to client work.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accounting-focused post-secondary program with the intention of pursuing a CPA designation.
- Strong interest in a career in risk advisory and exploring the CIA designation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize competing deliverables with varying deadlines.

- Compensation: $48,000 to $60,000.
