About the role#
The Private Equity Finance Operations team supports investment activities, including transaction processing, valuations, reporting, and legal document coordination. We are hiring for two co-op and intern positions: one focused on transactions and one on reporting. Both roles provide a foundation in accounting and finance while incorporating data, technology, and AI-enabled workflows. You will work closely with senior team members to gain exposure to the full scope of the team's operations. Please note these positions do not sit on a deal team and do not involve due diligence responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Support transaction processing, including capital call and distribution notices, accounting allocations, and payment or receipt instructions.
- Reconcile data across systems, such as unfunded and total commitments, and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with investment closings, lifecycle events, and related fee, expense, and distribution activities.
- Execute quarterly fund and principal valuation calculations.
- Contribute to fee analysis, audit, and SOC1 preparation activities.
- Support internal and portfolio reporting deliverables, including data capture and validation.
- Monitor shared email inboxes, handle routine inquiries, and manage invoicing.
- Maintain document tracking, organization, and policies or procedures documentation.
- Perform data entry, verification, and maintenance in financial systems.
- Adopt AI-enabled workflows and automation to improve process accuracy and efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Business, Economics, or related program.
- High level of detail orientation and accuracy across recurring tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills to analyze issues and propose practical solutions.
- Professional communication and teamwork abilities.
- Demonstrated reliability and the ability to prioritize fluctuating workloads.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Eagerness to learn about finance, operations, and accounting.
- General understanding of investment and accounting principles.
- Familiarity with financial systems, reporting tools, and AI-enabled technologies.
- Prior internship, co-op, or part-time experience involving financial data or reporting.

- Modality: On-site in Victoria with the option to work from home one day per week.
