About the role#
This student worker position supports the operations at the Waco Habitat for Humanity ReStore. You will assist staff with daily warehouse tasks and provide direct support to customers and donors. This role requires working in an unconditioned warehouse environment and involves physical labor.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service by helping with item selection, measuring materials, and locating products.
- Assist customers and donors with loading and unloading purchases and donations.
- Organize and maintain store inventory and work with staff on merchandise pricing.
- Ensure the store remains clean and safe for all visitors.
- Answer the phone and assist the donation coordinator as needed.
What you'll need#
- Must be eligible for federal work study.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, squat, bend, and climb in and out of a truck for extended periods.
- Strong verbal and human relations skills.
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
- Open to students in Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, or Criminal Justice.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week, Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
- Work Modality: On-site at the Waco Habitat for Humanity warehouse.
