About the role#
This student worker position supports the Waco Habitat for Humanity ReStore. You will assist with daily warehouse operations, inventory management, and customer service. This role requires working in an unconditioned warehouse environment and involves physical activity throughout your shift.
What you'll do#
- Help customers locate items, measure materials, and load or unload purchases and donations.
- Organize and maintain store inventory.
- Assist the donation coordinator with daily tasks and answer the phone.
- Keep the store space clean and safe for staff and visitors.
- Work with staff on pricing merchandise.
What you'll need#
- Eligibility for federal work study.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, and climb in and out of trucks.
- Good verbal and human relations skills.
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, or Criminal Justice.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week, Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
