About the role#
The AI Cloud Innovation Center (CIC) at Arizona State University, powered by AWS, helps students gain hands-on experience with emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and cloud computing. As a Management Intern, you will support the professional development, engagement, and operational success of our student workers. You will work closely with the AI CIC Core Lead to track projects, coordinate events, and foster a collaborative community for students.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate student worker activities, projects, and communication initiatives.
- Track student availability, project milestones, and deadlines to ensure deliverables remain on schedule.
- Organize workshops, mentorship activities, and career development programs to strengthen student skills.
- Plan and execute networking events, including Tech Days and industry engagement activities.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for student questions and assist with the onboarding of new participants.
- Build relationships with staff, faculty, alumni, and industry partners to expand student professional networks.
- Maintain accurate program records, trackers, and documentation.
- Use AI tools to improve unit efficiency and contribute ideas for process improvements.
- Foster a positive, inclusive culture and participate in university programs.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience in a student-focused, academic, or technology environment.
- Background in supporting student programs, internships, or experiential learning initiatives.
- Project coordination skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while working collaboratively.
- Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, or emerging technology.
- Emotional intelligence and a commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment.
- Familiarity with AWS technologies or generative AI is a plus.
