About the role#
This internship supports the administrative operations of the Business Office within the Athletics department. You will work under the supervision of the Associate Director for Business Operations to manage financial transactions and departmental data. This is a full-time, paid position that requires periodic night and weekend work.
What you'll do#
- Act as a primary contact for financial transactions originating from Athletics.
- Process requisitions, vouchers, expense reports, and budgetary encumbrances.
- Handle temporary budget transfers and journal entries.
- Reconcile monthly budget spreadsheets and procurement card transactions.
- Troubleshoot procurement card issues.
- Process scholarship book reimbursements for student athletes.
- Conduct research projects as needed throughout the year.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree.
- At least two years of financial support experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office software.
- Experience with PeopleSoft Financials is preferred.
- Previous experience in a university setting and familiarity with financial systems and budgets are also preferred.
- Majors in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics are relevant to this role.
