About the role#
Baylor University is seeking a Student Worker to serve as a Summer Office Assistant for North Village. This position supports Campus Living and Learning by maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for residents and guests. The role requires 10 to 40 hours of work per week between May 17 and August 17, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Ensure resident safety by monitoring building access, addressing policy violations, and reporting suspicious activity.
- Support emergency responders and monitor fire and door alarm panels at the front desk.
- Provide customer service by managing check-ins, lockouts, package distribution, and lost and found items.
- Maintain front desk cleanliness and answer resident inquiries.
- Foster community by greeting residents, learning names, and engaging in positive, daily conversation.

- Strong customer service skills to assist residents and guests.
- Proactive approach to building relationships and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Capability to manage administrative tasks like package tracking and desk operations.

- Location: North Village Texana House or University House, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: 10 to 40 hours per week.

- Compensation: $8 per hour.
